Not ‘Luxury’ at all......
In general: Vittoriano Luxury Apartments” are very ill-named. Would a luxury apartment, designed to accommodate eight people have cups and glasses barely adequate for three? Would a luxury apartment have such low water pressure that a shower is more like a dribble? (actually that’s fortunate as the shower drain and main sink drain are both blocked and overflow even with the inadequate shower). Luxury apartments don’t have connecting doors to adjacent (luxury?) apartments that allow every sound to permeate (I’m just listening to my neighbours’ conversation over breakfast - luxury?). Previous luxury accommodation had toilet seats actually connected to the toilet rather than precariously placed on top of the ceramic - perhaps I am asking too much? You decide. Internet is ‘provided’ through a mobile phone repeater that spends most of its time showing red as it cannot connect. Intermittent email is possible but broadband it is not... luxury? No, not even adequate. However, the most egregious failing is that the website shows photos from at least two apartments implying far superior accommodation from that let. The photo montage shows two bunk beds in a second bedroom - my luxury apartment does not have the second bedroom that I reasonably implied would be in my apartment. It also shows a large lounge/diner with views to the ‘Alter of the Nation’. My lounge diner is half the size with views of a wall 2m away. The apartment is also located on the 4th floor of the building accessed by a very steep stairway and no lift - nowhere on the website is this mentioned. In short, you don’t get what you (handsomely) pay for with this property. My advice is to go to a provider who gives an honest view of their property and thinks that maintenance is important. Vittoriano is not such a provider. Steer well clear... Location and surroundings: Great, if noisy, location for visitors looking from the classical sights Service: Dry poor. Takes a day to respond and then lies about what is featured on the website. No further communication Dining: Poorly equipped kitchen. Gadgets that don’t work and insufficient glasses and cups Sports and leisure: N/a Room: See general section: poorly maintained. Useful tips: Steer well clear of a site that simply lies about what is on offer.
